Hanky Pankys



2 lbs. ground beef
2 lbs. hot sausage
2 lbs. velvetta, cubed
½ t. cayenne pepper
Oregano to taste

4 loaves cocktail rye bread

Brown, crumble and drain beef and sausage. Add remaining ingredients. Spread on bread. Freeze on
a cafeteria tray and then bag and freeze. Heat to eat
at 350º for 15 minutes.

  3. You can just toss them in the oven frozen. (this is Tommmy's daughter, so I've seen it happen first hand!)

    I tried making them last year just from the comments you had made about them. Don't remember the cheese. Maybe that was the missing ingredient!lol. I didn't think they were very good and didn't look good. But now that there's a real recipe, I'm going to give them another shot as they are a perfect size for an appetizer. Are the cheese cube really small or does it melt into the hot meat? Thanks so much. Sherall
